Glyndebourne Festival Opera is held annually from May until August, in the grounds of a beautiful six hundred year old English country house, located near Lewes in East Sussex. The opera used to be hosted inside the house but now there is a free-standing opera house adjacent to the main house. Today it has two resident orchestras: the London Philharmonic Orchestra and the Orchestra of the Age of Enlightenment.
